MORE: Igo Branch Library occupies approximately 6,000 square feet on a 24-acre site which was originally part of ranch land owned by the Igo family. John Igo, the library’s namesake, grew up on the land. After going on to work as a librarian and English teacher, he became a well-known and award-winning author, playwright, director, critic, and producer.
In November 2017, Igo Branch Library celebrated the opening of the City Council District 8 Field office. The transformative space, located just outside of the library meeting room, utilized an existing meeting room and storage space to create a field office for District 8 council staffers.
