In Stepping Stones by Lucy Knisley, Jen's life has turned upside down. After her parents’ divorce, Jen and her mom move away from her beloved city life and in with her mom’s new boyfriend in the country. Suddenly Jen must live on a farm, take care of chickens, work at the local farmer’s market, put up with her mom’s annoying boyfriend, and endure visits from his bratty daughters. Jen didn’t ask for a new life, but she doesn't have a choice. This new graphic novel is semi-autobiographical, as it mirrors Ms. Knisley's own experience of moving to a farm after her parents' divorce.
