San Antonio’s newest frequency modulated station, KISS, begins broadcasting with 50,000 watts at 100.1 megacycles. The station is owned by Howard Davis and is temporarily broadcasting from the National Bank of Commerce Building. KISS is the first San Antonio radio station to carry network programs.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” is first broadcast, at 6:30 on CBS (KENS Channel 5).
