The fifth annual Pancho Clos parade is cancelled due to lack of participation. The parade, sponsored by the American GI Forum, is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. but only a small caravan of four police squad cars and two motorcycles show up. One policeman, stationed at Avenue E and 3rd Street, dubs it the “Christmas Scrooge Parade.”
