San Antonio Public Library Reopening

Effective June 16, 2020, SAPL will begin offering Contact-Free Pickup of reserved materials at 29 library locations. Additionally, at 9 of the 29 library locations, SAPL will be offering appointment-based access to public computers to serve those communities with the greatest need for this type of service.

Collins Garden Branch Closed - Grand Opening on January 30, 2016

The San Antonio Public Library temporarily closed Collins Garden Branch Library (200 N. Park Blvd., 78204) on June 22 for major improvements.

Community Invited to Special Photo Exhibit at Five San Antonio Public Library Branches

San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) makes rich cultural and intellectual resources available to all. Beginning January 10, five SAPL branch libraries will feature “Reviving Benin,” a collection of images captured at the annual Voodoo Festival in Benin, West Africa. Nigerian photographer Nseabasi Akpan provides an all-access pass to performances held on the festival grounds and within the community.

As a community gathering place, the Library provides opportunities for people to meet, exchange ideas, and participate in the life of their community.
