The McCreless Branch Library Renovations

The McCreless Branch Library will be undergoing renovations as part of the City of San Antonio's 2017-2022 Bond Program. Renovations will begin September 30, 2020 and continue until January 2021. Contact-Free Pickup service for holds and outdoor Wi-Fi access at Forest Hills will continue with adjusted hours. Book drops will be available

San Antonio Public Library Reopening

Effective June 16, 2020, SAPL will begin offering Contact-Free Pickup of reserved materials at 29 library locations. Additionally, at 9 of the 29 library locations, SAPL will be offering appointment-based access to public computers to serve those communities with the greatest need for this type of service.

Community Invited to Celebrate Black History Month through Music at the San Antonio Public Library

The San Antonio Public Library celebrates diversity and makes rich cultural and intellectual resources available to all. During the month of February, the San Antonio Public Library observes Black History Month, a time to celebrate honor and recognize the central role of Black Americans in U.S. History. 

Mayor’s Book Club continues with Memoir Writing Workshops at San Antonio Public Library

In honor of the Mayor’s book choice, the San Antonio Public Library is offering a number of memoir writing workshops in library branches across the city through December.
