Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with award-winning science fiction and fantasy artists and authors one-on-one about their craft. Barnes & Noble will be onsite selling the featured author’s books, and attendees are invited to purchase a copy of their favorite to have it signed.

Panel discussions and presentations will take place throughout the day exploring topics like podcasting, how to become a YouTuber, pop nostalgia, Dr. Who, Star Trek, and cosplay for people with disabilities.

A dedicated anime area of the event will feature Sweetness Maid Café, an authentic Japanese maid café with maid and butler service and performances; Japanese dance performances from the UTSA Japanese Club; and K-pop performances from local artists The Vikens, GlaxyGirl Paida, and DeaconRap.

Visitors to the library are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and enter our cosplay contest. Professional cosplayers will be available for free autographs and photos. Aspiring artists of all ages are also encouraged to submit their original work to our art contest.
