William Jennings Bryan lashed out against the teaching of Darwin’s theory of evolution in public schools in an address at Beethoven Hall. The orator was introduced by Gov. Pat Neff.

1938
County school officials today claimed charges of illegal segregation of Mexicans in Bexar County schools are unfounded. The officials said they welcome these students “wherever they attend.”
