April 3 in San Antonio history...

1855 
The San Antonio Herald, a weekly newspaper formerly known as the Alamo Star, publishes their first issue.

1883 
The weekly San Antonio Evening Light is discontinued and, under new management, the first issue of the San Antonio Daily Light newspaper rolls off the printing press.

1907
Two 15-year-old girls were fined $5 apiece in police court on charges of fast driving in a rented horse and buggy.  Though they denied drinking, they admitted to consuming several bottles of soda water.
