Children and Families invited to Symphony Saturdays at SAPL

SAN ANTONIO (January 13, 2016) —Beginning Saturday, January 16, San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) will partner with the San Antonio Symphony to bring professional musicians to library branches.

As a community gathering place, the Library makes rich cultural and intellectual resources available to all. This spring, SAPL will be hosting a number of professional musicians from the San Antonio Symphony who will share with children and families their love of music and their experience as symphony musicians. The San Antonio Symphony has been working to bring music educational programs to the schoolchildren of Bexar County for over 75 years.

The mission is to establish lifelong learning for all ages and segments of our diverse community by promoting the enjoyment, understanding and appreciation of symphonic music. The symphony musician appearances are made possible by the generous donation from symphony patron Mary Anne Crosby. Symphony performances will take place on Saturdays at 2 p.m. at a number of library branches. For more information and a complete schedule, visit or call 210-207-2500.
