San Antonio Public Library Reopening

Effective June 16, 2020, SAPL will begin offering Contact-Free Pickup of reserved materials at 29 library locations. Additionally, at 9 of the 29 library locations, SAPL will be offering appointment-based access to public computers to serve those communities with the greatest need for this type of service.

The San Antonio Public Library will celebrate Latinos and Latinos in public service this year as it honors the diversity and rich cultural heritage of the Alamo City during Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 – October 15.

Community Invited to Special Photo Exhibit at Five San Antonio Public Library Branches

San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) makes rich cultural and intellectual resources available to all. Beginning January 10, five SAPL branch libraries will feature “Reviving Benin,” a collection of images captured at the annual Voodoo Festival in Benin, West Africa. Nigerian photographer Nseabasi Akpan provides an all-access pass to performances held on the festival grounds and within the community.
