Mission Branch Library hosts Story “Tellabration”

Professional storytellers share legends, ghost stories and more

On Saturday, November 12 from 2 – 6 p.m., Mission Branch Library will host a Story Tellabration. The event will feature professional storytellers sharing trickster tales, wonder tales, legends, ghost stories and more. 

Teen Musicians Fuse Rock and Mariachi Music at Central Library

“Rock the Plaza” event features local teen musicians including Holmes High School YouTube sensation Mariana Garcia

On Saturday, November 12 from 1 – 4 p.m., Central Library will host the second annual Rock the Plaza event. The event is produced by teens from the Teen Library at Central. Rock the Plaza will feature teen musicians from Take Note, the San Antonio Music Academy, Eclectic Electric, and local high schools. This year’s theme is rock and mariachi fusion.

The San Antonio Public Library will celebrate Latinos and Latinos in public service this year as it honors the diversity and rich cultural heritage of the Alamo City during Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 – October 15.
