San Antonio Public Library Latino Collection and Resource Center celebrates First Year Anniversary and literary fair with author readings, writer’s workshops and a book Mercado

The San Antonio Public Library has reached a milestone as their Latino Collection and Resource Center celebrates its first year anniversary. Festivities will take place in the form of a literary fair, entitled, Viva Libro, on Saturday, September 15 at the Central Library the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Mayor’s Book Club continues with the District 7 theme of Environmental Sustainability.

Councilwoman Ana Sandoval invites the community to explore and learn about the importance of our environment and sustainability during the District 7 edition of Our Family Reads: The Mayor’s Book Club. Join Councilwoman Sandoval at Forest Hills Branch Library on Saturday, September 8 to learn about how we can take action in our own community and lives to support our environment. Reducing waste and excess is one way to help us improve our quality of life and sustain our community for future generations of San Antonians.
